Sunset 2-mile Run & Stroller Challenge – Free @ Historic El Camino Real aboard Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton Tickets
Jul 30 @ 5:30 pm – 7:00 pm

A fun, family friendly, summertime run at sunset on historic El Camino Real. Join us for an evening run as the sun sets over the Pacific Ocean.

This run will also feature a stroller challenge for those who wish to run with their little ones.

Registration for this event is day of only.

5:30pm RACE Start

This race will not be timed. We will have a running clock for you to check your own time.

Driving Directions

Las Pulgas entrance: From Interstate 5, take the Las Pulgas exit and head east towards the Las Pulgas gate. Continue straight and follow race parking signs to park (do not turn right onto Las Pulgas)

Main Gate entrance: From the main gate, stay on Vandegrift 1 mile until you reach Stewart Mesa/Ash Road.Turn LEFT and proceed North.Turn Left at Las Pulgas road and follow the race event signs to the venue.

Rules & Regulations:

  • Absolutely no headphones/ear buds allowed
  • Service and working dogs only
  • Event held rain or shine (unless deemed unsafe)
  • Pendleton Races has the right to modify the course if necessary for safety or base training exercises

Base Entry and Race Eligibility Requirements

Authorized Base Patrons only are allowed to enter the base and participate.  An active duty ID card, dependent card, retiree ID card, DoD-authorized identification card, or a CAC card must be presented to the Gate Guard to enter the base and register for the race.   

The general public, guests of base patrons, contractors and other non-base patrons with DBIDS cards are not eligible to race.

Teufel Hunden Tough Man Competition @ 11 Area CFT Field/Paige Field House Tickets
Aug 21 @ 4:00 pm – 6:30 pm

Come test your physical strength on either our “Light” or “Heavy” challenge courses.

Be prepared to lift, carry, throw and shoot items during this event.

All finishers will receive a Teufel Hunden Tough Man Challenge Memento.

A “Top 10” finisher board will be on site for “bragging rights” and to compare your finisher time against your friends.

Registration for this event is day of only.

Non-Active Duty $5

Age limit:  18+

*Please note we do have a CG’s Cup challenge from 0800-1130 (CG Cup participation points only awarded for the CG Cup morning event)

Tails & Trails 2K Dog Walk- Las Flores Ranch @ Las Flores Ranch Tickets

2K dog walk for Base Patrons of  MCB Camp Pendleton.

The walk is intended to promote animal responsibility in addition to offering a free fun family event.

Dog agility course open (dogs must remain on leash)

Driving Directions

Las Pulgas entrance: From Interstate 5, take the Las Pulgas exit and head east towards the Las Pulgas gate. Continue on Las Pulgas and then turn right at Stuart Mesa. Las Flores Ranch will be immediately on your right.

Main Gate entrance: From the main gate, stay on Vandegrift for approximately 1 mile until you reach Stuart Mesa/Ash Road.

Turn left at Stewart Mesa and head north for approximately 3-miles.  Las Flores Ranch is on your left as you approach Pulgas Road.

Parking:  Follow the Race Parking signs and staff/volunteer’s directions to park for the event.

  • All friendly base approved dogs are welcome ( MCO 5000.2)
  • Dogs must be leashed at all times
  • Leash must be 6’ in length or less
  • Please do not let your dog urinate on equipment
  • Please clean up after your dog – pet waste bags available at the check-in canopy
  • Absolutely no headphones/ear buds allowed
  • Event held rain or shine (unless deemed unsafe)

This popular 10K trail run through the hills of Camp Horno features amazing views of Camp Pendleton’s mountains and meadows as you traverse through actual training areas.

Non-Active Duty $20*
(Age limit: 13+)

  • All competitors must be off the course by 11:30am

Trick or Treat Trail at Lake O’Neill Tickets

 All participants will receive a treat bag and a glow accessory at check-in.

Participants will walk through our child friendly Halloween course and pick up prizes along the way!

From Pulgas: After entering the gate, veer right to stay on Pulgas Road for ¼ mile
At Stuart Mesa Road, turn right.
