Troops to Teachers Information Session @ Education Center, Mainside, Bldg. 1331 Tickets

Troops to Teachers was established in 1993 to assist transitioning Service members and veterans in beginning new careers as K-12 school teachers in public, charter, and Bureau of Indian Affairs schools. The program provides counseling and referral services for participants to help them meet education and licensing requirements to teach and subsequently helps them secure a teaching position. Since 1993, more than 20,000 veterans have successfully transitioned to a career in education.

Sunset 2-mile Run & Stroller Challenge – Free @ Historic El Camino Real aboard Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton Tickets

A fun, family friendly, summertime run at sunset on historic El Camino Real. Join us for an evening run as the sun sets over the Pacific Ocean.

This run will also feature a stroller challenge for those who wish to run with their little ones.

Registration for this event is day of only.


Schedule of Events:

4:30pm Registration opens.
Kids activities and vendor booths open

5:30pm RACE Start

This race will not be timed. We will have a running clock for you to check your own time.

Driving Directions

Las Pulgas entrance: From Interstate 5, take the Las Pulgas exit and head east towards the Las Pulgas gate. Continue straight and follow race parking signs to park (do not turn right onto Las Pulgas)

Main Gate entrance: From the main gate, stay on Vandegrift 1 mile until you reach Stewart Mesa/Ash Road.Turn LEFT and proceed North.Turn Left at Las Pulgas road and follow the race event signs to the venue.

Rules & Regulations:

  • Absolutely no headphones/ear buds allowed
  • Service and working dogs only
  • Event held rain or shine (unless deemed unsafe)
  • Pendleton Races has the right to modify the course if necessary for safety or base training exercises

Base Entry and Race Eligibility Requirements

Authorized Base Patrons only are allowed to enter the base and participate.  An active duty ID card, dependent card, retiree ID card, DoD-authorized identification card, or a CAC card must be presented to the Gate Guard to enter the base and register for the race.   

The general public, guests of base patrons, contractors and other non-base patrons with DBIDS cards are not eligible to race.

Accessing Higher Education 2-day Track (SOI) @ BLDG 520512, SOI Base Education Center Tickets

The Accessing Higher Education track is for those pursuing higher education. It assists Service members in identifying the education requirements that support their personal goals. This track focuses on topics such as how to achieve academic success, how to research and compare institutions, and how to finance higher education. After completing the Accessing Higher Education Track, Service members will be prepared to complete an application to an accredited institution, schedule a session with a counselor from an academic institution, or meet individually with education counselors, as needed.

Dates: January 23-24; February 27-28; March 27-28; April 24-25; May 22-23; June 26-27; July 31-August 1; August 28-29; September 25-26; October 30-31; November 20-21; December 18-19

No matter how long you’ve been together or your marital status you’re are guaranteed to walk away from this workshop as Relationship Ninjas, capable of fighting off the rough patches when they sneak up on you. Couples spend most of their time in one-on-one discussions putting the skills they’re learning to practice right away.

Commanding General’s Cup Water Warrior Relay Challenge @ Del Mar Beach Resort, South Jetty Tickets

 Earn Commanding General’s Cup participation points!

Water sports event with competitions to include swimming, stand up paddling, and kayaking.  Teams of 4 compete.  Day of registration only.
Top three teams receive awards.  All equipment provided.
